The past three decades have written a story packed full of surreal experiences, epic moments, groundbreaking involvement and huge accomplishments. The String Cheese Incident has been recognized for their commitment to musical creativity and integrity, for their community spirit, philanthropic endeavors, and for their innovative approach to the business of music. When The String Cheese Incident’s growth first started gaining momentum in the 1990s, as the Internet was just beginning to take hold and the major-label business model was failing, the band decided to make music on their own terms. Since then, The String Cheese Incident has gone on to carve out a completely unique approach to the business of music; they are truly pioneers of a new way of “making a band.” With the Internet as their tool, SCI was among the first artists to disseminate information online, such as tour dates, release information, and other news, to their growing fan base. Rather than doing business on such terms as “the bottom line,” SCI put their music and their fans first, opening companies of their own, including a ticketing company, a merchandise company and a fan travel agency, to best serve their community. The band’s record label, SCI Fidelity Records, has always operated under the same ideals. Even early on, SCI Fidelity embraced downloadable music and file sharing, delivering SCI’s “On The Road” series, where every show the band plays is made available for download on the Internet. Whether they realized it at the time or not, The String Cheese Incident was inventing grassroots band development. Today, literally hundreds of bands are using some version of this same approach to build their brand.

With an ethos rooted in exploration, STS9 has been a sonic pioneer for two decades. Using electronic and acoustic means, the instrumental five-piece—comprised of Hunter Brown (guitar/keys), Jeffree Lerner (percussion), David Phipps (keyboards), Zach Velmer (drums), and Alana Rocklin (bass)—channels the primordial and celestial, producing a cutting-edge sound that has forged a path for multiple generations of electronic dance music. STS9’s innate sense of innovation is grounded by the group’s desire to forge universal connections. Seamlessly integrating their exploratory and improvisation-based music with a fully immersive light show, each performance is a transcendent celebration of humanity. The group continues to find ways to build community, consistently spearheading charitable efforts and founding its own independent record label, 1320 Records. The McCoury brothers- Ronnie (mandolin) and Rob (banjo) - were born into the bluegrass tradition. Years on the road with Dad in the Del McCoury Band honed their knife-edge chops, and encouraged the duo to imagine how traditional bluegrass could cut innovative pathways into 21st century music.

Feed the Dog, a dynamic quartet from the Midwest known for blending an eclectic mix of genres, are putting their own spin on the music of the Talking Heads and calling it "Feed the Talking Dog." This experimental jam-grass act is known for their high-energy performances that leave audiences breathless, and this Talking Heads cover set promises to be no different. With their unique blend of styles and musical vision, Feed the Dog is sure to deliver an unforgettable night of music that pays homage to one of the most influential bands of all time while putting their own creative spin on the iconic Talking Heads catalog.

Hula Hooping (1 Hour Class) & Jam
Saturday August 16th at 11:30am

Never has there been an activity that brings together movement, expression, and mindfulness in such an uplifting way. In this session, you will learn foundational hoop dance moves through a beginner friendly dance. Absolutely no experience necessary, and all hoops are provided. Come as you! After class stay for a 30 minute flow jam.

Big FUN Circus

Each night, before String Cheese takes the stage, prepare to be dazzled by a mesmerizing fire show in the concert bowl that you won’t want to miss. Earlier in the evening, their whimsical troupe of stilt walkers, hoopers, and joy makers will roam the concert bowl, welcoming you with open arms to The Pines. And for the little ones? Their Kid Zone filled with bubbles and face painting adds an extra splash of fun to the Campout experience.

The Pines Music Park is an outdoor music venue. Events here are rain or shine.

Suggested items to bring into the concert bowl area include: a jacket, sunscreen, bug spray, appropriate walking shoes and an empty container to fill up with water.

Chairs and blankets are ALLOWED but must stay in designated area behind the sound tent. You may not place blankets down in the standing room area in front of sound tent to save space. Shade structures of any kind are NOT allowed in the concert bowl for Campout events so that we can allow for more space for chairs and blankets.

All items must be removed at the end of the day. The Pines Music Park is not liable for any items left behind.

The Eau Claire Wastewater Treatment Plant (located down the road from us at 1000 Ferry St Eau Claire, WI) offers free RV waste disposal. They are open 7 days a week from 7AM -2:30 PM. *Only Non Potable water available. NOT for drinking, washing or cooking purposes.

Yes, for an additional fee. Cesspool Cleaners will be on-site providing providing water delivery and pumping service for RVs during Campout in the Pines.

*A reserved campsite (Electric / Non-Electric) is required for those who would like to camp with an RV, pull-behind, tear drop or pop-up camper. A reserved site is also a great option for those who would like to arrive to a specific spot for tent camping instead of setting up in unreserved.

*You will need to have a reserved campsite ticket pass to gain access to the grounds if you have ANY kind of camper or pull-behind unit.

*(1) RV/Pull-behind/Pop-Up/Tear Drop camper allowed per site.

YES! If you would like to sit, you may bring a lawn chair but it must be set up within the designated 'Chairs Only' section located behind the sound tent. Blankets are also allowed in the 'Chairs Only' section.

*Chairs and Blankets are NOT allowed in front of the sound tent. You may not place blankets down in the standing room area in front of sound tent to save space.

*All chairs and blankets MUST be removed at the end of each night so that guests can enjoy the concert bowl space during the day (ex: Frisbee Hoop).

The Blue Ox Lodge will have a full bar featuring a variety of canned beer, mixed drinks, soda and Bloody Marys available for purchase.

Food Vendors: BBQ Cabin, Olson's Ice Cream, Live Great Food, Bear Fish Brew Coffee and Brooklyn Mikes Food Truck

Fire rings are available in VERY limited quantities throughout the campground. We do NOT sell fire rings or take reservations. We suggest that you bring your own fire ring if you would like to guarantee your own campfire.

Grills are permitted, but not provided.

YES! Unlike most other events/festivals, you can come and go as you please. Just make sure to show your wristband to our gate attendants when you return.
